Passport Program
Welcome to the Passport Program!
My name is Eve Frazer and I am the Director of the Passport Program and Clubs. St. Benedict’s Passport Program has been put into place to provide a fun, safe, comfortable and exciting place for children to spend their early mornings and/or afternoons. We are here to provide quality childcare that promotes healthy and happy interactions among children from various ages.
Hours and Schedules
The Preschool Passport Program is available for students in the morning from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 - 6:30 p.m. in the afternoon. Students are divided into groups by age. The Elementary Passport Program is available for students in the morning from 7:00 – 8:15 a.m. and 2:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the afternoon for Kindergarteners and 3:30 – 6:30 for Pre-First through Third grades. All children in both Passport Programs will be able to participate in a variety of activities depending on their age; art, games, homework time, playground time, cooking, movies, storytime and free choice. They, as well as other students, also have the opportunity to enroll in a Passport Club that interests them. Click Here for more information on Passport Clubs.
Pick – up
You may pick up your child from Passport anytime, the latest time being 6:30p.m. Pick-up for Preschool Passport is located at the Preschool. Elementary Passport is located on the backside of the building inside the fence at the Passport/Youth Room door, even though we may be at the playground, your child’s items will be located there. Everyone must sign their child out with the Passport teacher on duty. Again, no child may leave with anyone else other than a parent without a note, phone call or email.
Behavioral Expectations
As a part of St. Benedict’s Passport Program students must follow the same behavior, respect and character as they do during the school day. While we encourage children to work things out between themselves, some issues require more adult assistance. In these situations, children are helped to understand their problem from various points of view.
Billing
As we are trying to keep Passport charges as low as possible, our billing policies are as follows. Each child will be billed $4.75 an hour, whether your child is in Passport for 12 minutes or 48 minutes. If they attend Passport for 1 hour 40 minutes, they will be billed $9.50, $4.75 an hour for 2 hours.
To eliminate any billing confusion, we will be offering Passport Cards this year. If you are planning to sign your child up for Passport, then you will need to purchase a Passport Card. The card is available at $95 for 20 hours. This rate is $4.75 an hour. If you do not think you will need 20 hours, then you may purchase the Passport Card for only the amount of hours you think you will need, for example – 5 hours = $23.75. You may also purchase as many cards as you like or purchase them weekly. All cards will be kept in Passport and stamped as the hours are used. You may check the “card book” at anytime to see how many hours you have left or how many you have used. If you purchase more hours than you need, a refund check will be issued to you for the difference.
In the event you need to use Passport and you have not purchased a card, please be aware your Passport charges will be $5.75 per hour. The charges will be due at the end of the week. However, if payment is not received by that Friday your account will incur late charges. The latest pick – up time is 6:30 p.m. After 6:30 p.m. there will be a late charge of $1 a minute, due upon pick-up.
Passport Cards may only be purchased from Passport or the Business Office.
