Parents of First and Second Graders are invited to join us on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 9:30am at the home of Anne Shamanski to meet other parents from the First and Second Grades. We will also joined by Lang Lowrey, Janet Rau, Angie Calhoun, Sister Hood and Anne Shamanski.

Kindergarten Parent Coffee (Last Name A-K)

Please join us at the home of Anne Shamanski to meet other parents from the Kindergarten classes. Families with the student's last name beginning A - K will meet on September 8, 2009. Famlies with student's last names L - Z will meet on September 15, 2009. Both coffees will begin at 9:30a. St. Francis Day Festival

St. Benedict�s Episcopal Church and Day School is hosting St. Francis Day on Saturday, October 3rd from 11:00a-2:00p.

This day is planned for all community members regardless of spiritual persuasion to cele-brate the wonderful animals in our lives! Please bring your pet so that they may partake in the festivities. There will be a pet parade around the grounds. There will also be competitions for the silliest pet trick where pets and owners may show off any trick that is not a �normal pet trick� such as a dog that can walk backwards.

St. Benedict�s Episcopal Church and Day School will also have a variety of �Best in� competi-tions such as best dressed, best in parade as well as the pet that most resembles their owner. There will be many pet related vendors here that can offer and dis-cuss pet services and provide pet goodies.

For the pet owners, we will offer Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and all contributions will be used as a fundraiser to provide furniture for the Passport room, also used for the Youth of the church. Please join us for this special day! Pets must be leashed, kenneled or caged to at-tend.

Curriculum night is an opportunity for parents to head Back to School!!!

Come and attend this event to discover what your child is learning in each academic area of their school day. Parents will visit each classroom where you will learn all of the spe-cifics related to the curriculum that is being used to teach the children of St. Bene-dict�s Episcopal Day School. Parents will also learn the goals for the year in each subject area, be given the opportunity to ask questions and get answers directly from your child�s teacher.

We will have the Administration staff here to welcome you and answer questions related to other aspects of the school. This will be such an important night for parents to really see St. Benedict�s Episcopal Day School through the eyes of our students, so don�t miss this wonderful event! Please keep in mind this event is for parents only�no children please.
